Virtual Data panel displays the content of physical data sources that are mapped to a virtual table and virtual schema. Virtual View is also saved under the Virtual Data panel.
Create Virtual Schema #
- Locate the Virtual Data Panel and click the button.
- Input the name for your virtual schema and click Save.
- Select the data source table or the virtual table you want to add to the virtual schema then click Next.
- Click Done to confirm the action.
- To find your virtual schema, locate it under the Virtual Data panel or search.
Add Data Source Table to Existing Virtual Schema #
You can add a table from a data source to an existing virtual data in two ways, add table manually or drag and drop your virtual table to a virtual schema.
Add Data Source Table to Virtual Schema #
- Locate your virtual schema and click .
- Select + Add Virtual Table to get directed to the table selection.
- Select the table you want to add to the virtual schema and click Next.
- Click Done to confirm the action.
- To find your added table, locate it under the target virtual schema.
Drag & Drop the Data Source Table to a Virtual Schema #
- Locate your target virtual schema under the Virtual Data panel.
- Select a data source table from the Data Source panel.
- Click and drag the data source table to the target virtual schema.
- Drop the data source table on the virtual schema.
- To find your added data source table, locate it under the target virtual schema in the Virtual Data Panel.
Rename Virtual Table or Virtual Data #
- Locate the table or virtual data you want to rename and click .
- Click Rename Table Data/Virtual Data.
- Enter the new name of the table or virtual data and click Rename to confirm the change.
- To find your renamed table or virtual data, locate it from the Virtual Data panel or search.
Search Virtual Table or Virtual Data #
- Click the Search button on the Virtual Data panel.
- Enter the name of your virtual table or virtual data.
- The system will automatically filter the virtual data panel.
Copy Path for Virtual Data or Virtual Table #
- Select the virtual table or the virtual data from the Virtual Data panel and click .
- Click Copy Path to copy the path on the Clipboard.
- You may paste the copied path on the Query Editor.
Remove Virtual Data #
- Select the virtual data or the virtual table from the Virtual Data panel and click .
- Click Remove Virtual Data.
- Click Delete to confirm.
